In the quiet wretchedness of it all
When faith has worn out
All you hope is for mercy
Knowing you don't deserve it
And yet you hope
For that beautiful fairytale
For the magical ending
Because you are not the one writing the story
You hope from Him, the Most Generous
So you take all your wretchedness
You bare it to him
And ask him,
With hope
for that little something more
for that little crown
of glory
Yes you
this wretched, downtrodden you
and He covers it all
in His soothing Mercy
Because you finally returned
Home at last
after a dark voyage of heedlessness
And then
He Gifts
His crowning jewels
and you
Yes you
The Wretched, Downtrodden you,
is crowned
is Honoured
Tell me O Soul,
Could there be any greater than Him?
